While abroad I have had the most amazing experience, through getting out of my comfort zone I have received opportunities to grow in ways I hadn’t realized I could.  Immersing myself in a new way of life and getting to meet people from all around the world has been an incredible journey and something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. 

Thessaloniki is absolutely wonderful. I love it here. We climbed Mount Olympus two weeks ago, took a trip to Athens and visited museums last weekend. Everything about my classes is incredible: the Greek students, professors, different perspectives on the EU and their economy.

My program abroad contributed a whole new level to my college experience and personal growth. It will forever remain as incremental stepping-stone to my personal and professional success. I learned so much from my professors, my new friends, and the cities themselves that I never would have learned by staying in the States.

One of the many advantages of being abroad was that I met a lot of people and became part of the local group at the dorms where I lived. The group was made of people from all different parts of England, as well as a couple of other people from the United States who were also doing study abroad courses. These are people that even after a few short years, I am still in contact with! Towards the end of my stay, I ended up having weekend visits to numerous countries in Europe. These include Wales, Ireland, France, Scotland, Netherlands, Belgium, and a small area of Germany. This was probably my favorite part.

There are no words to describe how thankful I am that I was given the opportunity to study abroad. Maynooth University in Ireland has not only changed my mindset of education but taught me valuable lessons about life, time, and has helped me grow so much as a person. Studying abroad has given me a unique perspective on life and how others live life. I’ve made many lifetime friends already from Irish students to other students studying abroad. If someone asked if I would study abroad again, I wouldn’t even think about it of course!

Studying abroad in Peru gave me some much needed confidence, both with speaking spanish and with my ability to travel independently! I stayed with the most amazing family, and I still talk to them often. The program also allowed me to see some of the most amazing cites, including Machu Picchu and the Amazon Rainforest!

Studying in Paris for a year was unlike anything I have ever experienced. I had an incredible opportunity to work alongside business students from all over world. While learning a new language and learning about dozens of new cultures. I would recommend studying abroad to anyone who is up for a new challenge. Aside from living in the beautiful city of Paris and getting to explore it daily I was also able to travel all over Europe. I got the opportunity to attend carnival in Belgium and the festival en fuego in Spain. I was able to travel to some 10 different countries over my time there. What are you waiting for go have an experience that not everyone gets.
