Step 1: Find your program
Visit our Programs Page to learn about what Park has to offer. We work with over 74 partner institutions in 35 different countries. You can schedule a time to meet with a study abroad advisor by emailing us at studyabroad@park.edu or submit an inquiry and we will contact you with information. We will assist you on selecting a program that works for you and that meets your academic goals and personal interests. Here are some questions to ask yourself in order to help you narrow down your options.
Step 2: Know your deadlines
The Study Abroad Office accepts applications on a rolling basis; however each program or institution may have a deadline for application. We encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible so they don’t miss scholarship deadlines or host institution deadlines. Furthermore, chances of admissions increase by submitting early applications.
Step 3: Begin your application
Complete the online Park Study Abroad application and upload required documents. In addition to completing the Park Study Abroad application, you will be required to submit an application for the study abroad program to which you are applying and/or the Host Institution. You are not approved to participate in a program until your Park Study Abroad Application is complete and approved by the Park Study Abroad Office.
Below is a list of the documents needed for a Park Study Abroad application. Requirements for the host program application will vary depending on the program selected.
- Personal Statement (250 word minimum) – Explain the following: Why you are a strong candidate for a study abroad program (referring to your educational achievements, intellectual and personal interest and career goals| Explain why you want to study abroad how you think this experience will benefit your academics and future career goals | Reflect on some of the differences you expect to encounter while abroad and what you hope to learn from them.
- Copy of Transcript – These can be downloaded from your MyPark student account or requested from the Registrar.
- Color copy of passport – If you do not have your passport yet, this can be submitted later.
