Park University’s Study Abroad Office is committed to encouraging and supporting all students as they develop intercultural knowledge and increase their global citizenship. Park University seeks to provide access for all students through safe and reliable academic programs abroad while engaging in inclusive international immersion experiences.
What is study abroad?
There are different routes to engage in a global experience while attending Park University. A typical study abroad experience might include a semester or a year abroad studying at one of our partner institutions, taking courses with locals or learning a second language. Other options include taking part of a summer school program, short term programs led by Park faculty abroad during spring break, fall break, Maymester or completing an internship abroad.
Eligibility
Park University encourages students in Parkville, distance learning students and all campus centers to study abroad. However, to be eligible students must meet the following requirements:
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
- 2.5 min GPA
- Good academic standing
- Two semesters completed at Park University
TRANSFER & GRADUATE STUDENTS
- 2.5 min GPA
- Good academic standing
- One full semester completed at Park (or two 8 week terms)
In addition to the general requirements listed above, the institution or program to which you are applying may require a higher GPA as part of their admission. Additional requirements may include junior standing status at the time of application.
Courses are taught in English, unless noted by the program. If you are interested in language training there are programs available too.
